Notes On Mental Health

Time is a fascinating concept. It’s a finite resource for everyone, yet every person, regardless of their wealth, age, or status, receives the same 24 hours each day.

Consider the world as it spins in these 24 hours: life continues relentlessly, much like an unstoppable train or an endless melody.

But let’s look at it differently.

Let’s say we’re awake for 16 hours a day. During this time, everyone competes for our attention: TV commercials, social media, friends, colleagues, and family. They all want a piece of our time, sometimes for better reasons, sometimes for worse.

In this whirlwind of constant demands, it’s easy to get lost in the noise and forget to listen to the one voice that matters most: our own.

It’s astonishing how we can tune into everything and everyone else, ignoring the voice closest to us.

Regardless, life moves forward, like that unstoppable train, like that never-ending melody. But it’s crucial for us to pause and tune into our inner selves, to acknowledge our needs and emotions.

Don’t worry, I get caught up too.

Sometimes I feel lost, but I’ve realized it’s okay as long as I listen to my emotions and decide to get back on track.

Being strong means being able to give voice to our thoughts, release our feelings, face life’s constant noise, and open up, especially to those close to us.

And to be free is to navigate this world with a clear sense of self, embracing your unique essence and cutting through the distractions.

As we step into 2024, my wish for you is more than just well-being. I hope you take the time to pause, reflect, and truly listen to yourself.

Take care of the inner you. It’s only then that you’ll be fully equipped to care for others.

Cheers for this 2024, Gents.
