Meet Emanuele Favarin (@emanuelefavarin), an Italian man in London working as a style curator.
1. How do you define your style?
I usually prefer traditional looks that emphasize the quality of the fabrics; I like to be dressed in well-fitting silhouettes and cozy clothing. And I never forget to add a bit of colour.

2. What does it mean for you to be a Modern Gentleman?
It’s more than just how you dress, in my opinion. Having core principles in your daily life is what truly makes you a modern gentleman.
3. When it comes to style, where do you mostly get your inspiration from?
Even before I moved to London, I have always found great inspiration at the Drake’s shop on Saville Row. Their mix of colours, cuts, and fabrics is so distinctive that it really gets your attention, and I love how they play around with all the clothes. It’s definitely inspiring.

4. What’s your personal style signifier?
For me, a pair of brown suede loafers adds a stylish touch that works well on everyday fits as well as any other kind of clothes, from smart to casual. I like them so much that I own 6 pairs…
5. What are your favorite wardrobe essentials?
Straight-cut Japanese selvedge denim are a must for me: I wear them all the time. They can be dressed down with a blazer and a gorgeous western belt, or dressed up with a shirt and tie. But they work just as well with a hoodie. They are so comfy and adaptable that you can wear them every day.
6. What are your main passions and how do you cultivate them?
I adore country music, and I collect old vinyl records, so when I go on walks around London, I usually end up getting lost in these vintage record stores looking for rare records.

7. What does your ideal Sunday look like?
I’m picturing a bright spring day spent strolling along Richmond’s riverbank, sipping fine English tea and snacking on delightful scones, all while taking in the stunning scenery of the river, which is lined with vintage boats and lush greenery.
8. Describe an interesting trip you have taken and tell us what’s the next destination on your bucket list.
The Riviera Maya in Mexico was one of the most breathtaking vacations I’ve ever enjoyed. It was a thrilling trip that I still remember with great pleasure. The colors, smells, and culture of that region, but most of all the people, conquered me. As for the next vacation, it is certain to be to Greece.
9. Tell us what can never be missing in your liquor cabinet.
I love a Jack Daniel’s with honey, because it adds a nice, somewhat sweet taste to balance the whiskey’s harshness. This never falls short.

10. What are your three favorite books?
A Gentleman in Moscow – by Amor Towles – is my favorite book; however, I really enjoy picture books (fashion magazines) more and prefer to collect them as home décor.
11. What are your three favorite movies?
Hugh Grant’s style is something I can’t get enough of, so I’ll mention Notting Hill. I also love musicals, and I still sing the songs from Grease. Elvis Presley has always been one of my legends – I even have a tattoo of him on my arm. So the third on the list must be the eponymous movie on his life.
